Fix Incompatible Units
Introduction: Sometimes when importing applications from John Deere Operation Center or entering data manually, units may not match between the Applications page and the Inputs page in Harvest Profit. For example, a chemical may import as Dry Ounces instead of Fluid Ounces. This guide explains how to correct those mismatches.
- Check the Application:
- Go to the Applications page.
- Find the product with the incorrect unit (e.g., “Dry Ounce”).
- Click the Unit dropdown and select the correct unit (e.g., “Fluid Ounce”).
- Check the Inputs Page:
- Go to the Inputs page.
- Locate the product (e.g., your chemical). A red oval will appear if incompatible units exist.
- Click the red oval (number icon) to see all fields using that product with mismatched units.
- Batch Edit Units:
- Select one or multiple fields with incorrect units.
- Click Batch Edit → Set Unit.
- Choose the correct unit type (e.g., Fluid Ounces).
- Save to update all selected applications at once.
- Best Practice:
- Whenever possible, make corrections directly in John Deere Operations Center to prevent recurring mismatches.
- Use the batch edit feature in Harvest Profit if multiple corrections are needed quickly.

Correct unit settings are essential to ensure your product usage and costs calculate properly across fields, reports, and profitability analysis.
- If a unit mismatch exists (e.g., “Dry Ounce” vs “Fluid Ounce”), your reports and costs will be inaccurate.
- Correcting the unit ensures consistency between your Inputs and Applications.
Troubleshooting: If you continue to see mismatched units:
- Check the product setup on the Inputs page.
- Confirm the unit matches what is selected on the Applications page.
- Use Batch Edit to correct multiple fields quickly.
- If errors keep recurring, verify that units are correct in Operations Center before re-importing.
