Understanding Applications Cost/Acre

When you "apply" seed, fertilizer, or chemical on areas different than the planted acres(set on the Crop Planner), the cost shown for that particular seed/variety/product is shown across the whole field.

Reasoning: We do this to show the true P&L across our revenue generating acres. If you have variable rating applied through John Deere Operation Center, you will be able to see the cost/per acre for different applications on the P&L Profit Maps page. 

Example:

Field: 100 Acres

Product: Roundup - $30/gal ($0.23/floz)

Application: Applied 30floz/acre for 10 acres = 6.9/acre = $69 total for this application. Now we apply this cost to the field as a whole would make it $0.69/acre.
