Add Loads to a Grain Bin
Add a Grain Load Ticket to a Grain Bin
Introduction: This guide walks you through adding a grain load ticket from a field to a grain bin in Harvest Profit. You'll learn how to enter load details, choose wet or dry inventory tracking, and optionally record grain specifications, trucks, notes, and attachments.
- Open the Add Ticket Screen
- Navigate to the Inventory page.
- Click Add Ticket.
- Enter Basic Load Information
- Verify the correct Season is selected.
- Select the appropriate Crop.
- If the crop is not listed, go to Account Settings and add the crop before continuing.
- Select the Source and Destination
- Choose a Source location, such as a field.
- Select a Destination, such as a grain bin.
- Choose the Quantity Type
- Select either Wet or Dry.
- Wet is most commonly used when moving grain from a field into a bin.
- Dry can be used when the quantity entered already reflects dry bushels.
- Enter Quantity Information
- Wet Tickets:
- Enter the wet amount and moisture percentage.
- Harvest Profit automatically calculates the dry amount that will be added to inventory.
- Dry Tickets:
- Enter the quantity you want recorded in inventory.
- The entered amount becomes the dry inventory amount regardless of moisture entered.
- Wet Tickets:
- Add Grain Specifications (Optional)
- Select any grain specifications you want to track.
- You may choose multiple specifications, a single specification, or none at all.
- These fields are optional and can help provide additional grain quality information.
- Enter Additional Details (Optional)
- Enter a Ticket ID if you track individual grain loads.
- Select a Truck if applicable.
- If your truck is not listed, add it before creating the ticket.
- Review or update the Date.
- Add any Notes or Attachments associated with the load.
- Preview and Submit the Ticket
- Click Preview and Submit.
- Review the ticket details for accuracy.
- Choose one of the following:
- Submit and Go Back to return to the Loads page.
- Submit and Create Another to immediately enter another load.
Tip: When moving grain directly from the field to a bin, use the Wet option so Harvest Profit can automatically calculate and record the dry inventory amount based on moisture content.
Troubleshooting:
- If your crop is missing, add it in Account Settings before creating the ticket.
- If a truck is unavailable, add the truck record and return to the ticket.
- If inventory amounts appear incorrect, verify whether the ticket was entered as Wet or Dry.
