New! Updating Settlements

    Introduction: Updating settlements in Harvest Profit ensures accurate delivery tracking and prevents over-allocation. This guide walks you through the new settlements workflow, including how to delete and recreate settlements, add truckloads, and update contract bushels. See the video below for a full walkthrough.

  1. Navigate to Settlements:
    • Go to the Inventory tab, then select Settlements.
    • You’ll see a new layout with a search bar and filters for crop, location, and status.
  2. Review an Existing Settlement:
    • Click into any settlement to view its details.
    • If the settled amount is less than your contract amount and truckloads cannot be added, it's because settlements are considered a final action.
  3. Delete the Settlement to Add More Truckloads:
    • Click the Edit icon.
    • Select Delete to remove the settlement but retain all previously delivered truckloads under that contract.
  4. Add Truckload Deliveries:
    • Click Add Truckload Deliveries.
    • Select the desired loads by checking the boxes.
    • Click New Settlement to begin the creation process.
  5. Create the New Settlement:
    • Optionally enter a Settlement ID (e.g., ContractName - Settlement).
    • Review the total bushels being settled and click Create Settlement.
  6. Settle Remaining Bushels:
    • Select additional available truckloads and click New Settlement.
    • Use a new Settlement ID if needed (e.g., ContractName - 2 - Settlement).
    • Click Create Settlement.
    • Note: The system prevents over-allocation. Only the available portion of each load will be applied to the current contract.
  7. Edit Contract Bushels (Optional):
    • Click Edit Contract from within the settlement.
    • Update the contract’s total bushels (e.g., increase from 4,000 to 5,000).
    • Click Save and return to the settlements page to add more truckloads.
