Why are there warnings when viewing an Application?

If you see a warning message like the one above on any inputs applied on the Applications tab, there is a problem with that input.

Clicking on the warning will reveal one of the following issues:

1. The unit is invalid for this input

This means that the current unit (e.g. "lbs", "tons", "gallons", etc.) is not valid with that input.

The Profit and Loss for your farm will use this input, but calculate the total cost using the current units from the inputs tab, instead of using the unit currently selected. Example:

If you have "per gallon" on the inputs tab, but the unit currently selected is "lbs", we treat those "lbs" as "gallons". This behavior is subject to change in the future, so please make sure you use the correct units.

This can happen when changing the input's unit after associating that input with an application.

2. The input is not being used

This means that the input crop is not the same as the application crop that you have specified.

The Profit and Loss for your farm will not use this input, as we consider the application to be the single source of truth, with regards to the applied products.

This can happen when changing the field (or input) crop after associating that input with an application.

If you encounter any of the above warnings, and need assistance resolving them, please send an email  support@harvestprofit.com and we'll be happy to help!
